Backstory: Johnny was born in a village in Dusty Desert Zone as the middle child with an older sister and younger brother. He lived a quiet life until Sleet and Dingo alongside Scratch and Grounder invaded and roboticized most of its residents. Johnny's family managed to escape and go into hiding on Angel Island. As the Floating Island was protected by Johnny's new friend Knuckles, they were isolated from evil.
Johnny's loving mother took care of the three children and even homeschooling the two oldest while his hardworking father was a friend of Knuckles and helped guard the Master Emerald. They bonded with their rays of sunshine beautifully. Then came when Johnny's sister when she left Angel Island for Station Square to become the President's junior secretary, her family wished her the best of luck as she boarded the X-Tornado. It wasn't until months later that Dr. Eggman, piloting his battleship the Mother Egg along with his Egg Fleet in another effort to capture the Master Emerald. Johnny's father fought alongside Knuckles and his friends to protect the powerful gem but was badly injured during the tussle. But he remained okay. It was then that a 15 year old Johnny told his mom that he would not return home until his family was safe. And he kept that promise ever since.
